Spring shopping and a fun day in Lolita, and a little ranting

Hello All ^^
Last week I went on a bit of an adventure with my Boyfriend and a friend of his. This friend is a member of an official licensed shooting club. He invited us for a introduction day. It was a lot of fun, though I still think shooting is scary.  It was completely save though, and fun to try out some time. My BF took some pictures of me, since I was wearing Sweet Loli, it made a nice contrast with the rest of the place XD.I was doubting about posting pictures, because it could be intimidating for some, but I shopped the picture with a cutesy pink heart, so I think it should be okay. Remember that this picture was taken in a licensed club, under the supervision of professionals.

It was so much fun, haha, the owners of the club were very nice, and complimented me on my outfit.

I finally got to do some spring shopping last week.Here is the result, I still need to find some more cute skirts that I can wear at work though:

My car,
Yeah, I almost bought a new one, not second had, completely new. Why? Because the one I have now exploded two weeks ago. It was scary, I parked my car, turned it off, I wanted to call the garage, because the car's temperature was waaaay to high. After I turned it off, it just went BOOM. There was so much smoke coming from te front, and lots of water was flowing away from under my car.Luckily it looked more serious then it was. The garage could fix it, so I didn't need to buy a new one.But I am pretty pissed off at the people that sold this car to me last year. A month after I bought it, I went back to them, because I thought the temperature was getting to high, they told me back then that it was all okay. As long as the temperature didn't go into the red zone, it was fine.The ANWB (dutch emergency service) told me that what those guys told me was utter bullshit, and they should have fixed it back then. It would have saved me about 300 Euro, Grrrrrr. But I can't do anything about it now unfortunately. I am glad I got my car back though, and that the problem is fixed. I hope I can drive it safely for a few years now.
Okaaay that would be enough ranting XD.

Hello all ^^
Today was a very fun day. It was my birthday, I am 24 now. I felt old, until the lady at the jewelers shop treated me like I was 17 (she was very nice though).Today I decided to wear my 50's style cherry dress, it is a summer dress, but it was warm enough with a bolero.
 

I got some very nice gifts from my Boyfriend and familyI went to Gent in Belgium with Him this weekend, and he kept giving me presents ^^, that was so very sweeeet ^___^ He gave me loooooots of chocolates, which are almost all gone by now XDAnd also these two books:A comic book, very good book, beautiful art. And a travel guide to Japan, because we are planning to go there in 2013. I know that is a long time, but there are sooo many things we want to do.He also gave me this adorable card. I cut the message of, because that is private -__^
My parents gave me this beautiful Pandora charm bracelet 
My sister gave me this cute and funny cake set
And my brother and my sister boyfriend gave me new tires for my bike, I haven't used it in ages, but with the upcoming summer I wanted to use it again. But it needed new tires. 
In the afternoon my grandparents came to visit me ^^, it was nice to see them again, I don't see them often.
It was a great day today, even the weather was awesome ^___^

First day of Spring!!!! And 1 year blog anniversary ^^

Today is officially the first day of spring in my country. The weather outside is lovely, the sun is shining, it is still a little bit cold though, but I am sure it will get warmer soon.I hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine today!

I wish I could go outside, to the park or something, but I have to work :-(. Ow well, I did go to the beach yesterday, so I shouldn't complain.

Also, last Saturday was the 1st anniversary of this blog, yaaay, one year has past already, it went by so fast 0.0 I am so happy that all of you started following my blog. Thank you all ^^I hope I can do another year of blogging.
Next week is my birthday, I am gonna be 24 already. I know I shouldn't say this, but I feel kinda old XD. Aw well, Party time!!!!


New stuff!
I bought myself some new things.For the summer, this cute 50's style dress
I bought it at www.topvintage.nlThat site has a pretty big collection of 50's style clothing, not second hand, all new, also shoes and accessories, all for very decent prices. If you are interested in this style, you should take a look at their webshop. They did win the Dutch home shopping awards a few weeks ago to.The dress has a wonderful fit, but it is a tad to long, so I have to make the skirt a bit shorter. But besides that, it's perfect.

I also purchased this cute weekend-bag:Cute right ^^, It was on sale at the drug store.I will use it when I go on short trips. 
Last week I finished a vest for my Boyfriend. It was quite a project. The pockets for example are rather difficult to make, but I am very satisfied with the results
The fit was very nice for Him. And He looks very good in it hihi * --_^*

Mary Poppins and some shopping

Hello there,

To start this post, I want to say HI! to my newest readers. I hope you will enjoy my blog, I will try to update as much as I can ^^.

Now on to the actual post: Last wednesday I went to see the Mary Poppins musical together with my best friend. It is such an awesome musical, I had a great time. The costumes are great, also great songs. I have always liked the story of Mary Poppins, so I was very excited when I heard about a musical production of it.
I met with my friend in Scheveningen and we went to get some diner first. Then we went to the theater. We had the best places, on the very first row in the middle.
This picture kind of indicates how close we were to the stage:


We took one picture together, we tried to take one in the restroom mirror, but it didn't work out very well -_-;; , so a nice lady offered to take our picture. This is the result, and yes, I do look kind of stoned XD But I still do like the picture ^^


Aaaaand here is one that I took when I got home. Here you can see what I was wearing. I couldn't wear something very spectacular, because I had to work first and didn't have time to change.

SHOPPING

Today I did some shopping. It was so much fun, walking through the snow.
I bought a new dress / top, I needed something new for a diner party I have to go to next week. My boss organised it, it will be an theater diner, and I go there with all my co-workers, It will be fun ^^

It's so cute ^^, It is from Jane Norman. I realy like that label, their clothes are cute and fun, but not "difficult" to wear. They had lots of very cute dresses and skirts in the shop today.

Well that's about it. I am going to prepare now for tomorow, International Lolita Day!!!!!.
I can't do much with it, but I will wear a very Classic Loli-inspired outfit to my work tomorow, and at night I go to a party, and I will wear a Sweet Lolita outfit. To all Lolita's out there, Have fun tomorow with what ever you are going to do!!

First snow of the winter, and some good old times

Today the very first snow of this year fell down. It looks so beautifull outside now. It is a cold white winter wonderland


That is the view on my backyard from my bedroom window. As you can see, some snow is still falling down.

Yes the snow is beautifull, but also very scary, I had to drive home through it, and the highway was covered in snow, so that was pretty dangerous.I just kind of hope that this winter will not be as bad as last years winter. It was sooo very cold then

Now for good old times:
Someone sended this picture to me. It is a picture of myself at some festival about 5 or 6 years ago.

I looked so different back then, with shorter black hair with pink extension (not very visible but they are there XD ) And I have such an extremely white face here, I used to use a lot of white face powder hehe XD.
You can see my best friend behind me with her awesome pink furry handcuffs in her hair ^^ She still is my best friend right now, though our styles both changed so much through the past few years. I can't wait to see her again this week when we go see the Mary poppins musical in Scheveningen ^___^

Some time ago I went to a Japanese dance night called Deshima Sound in Den Haag together with my friend Linda. It was great, we danced a lot, and there were a lot of very nice people.

My grandfathers party

Last night I celebrated my grandfathers 90th birthday. We had a big family party. There were lots of relatives, and I didn't really know any of them XD. Most of them were already rather old to. It was fun though. Most of them seemed to know who I was, they have seen me when I was little, and my grandmother told them about my sewing hobby.The old ladies were very interrested in that ^^.
We had a nice diner in a beautifull restaurant. It was in the middle of a park right next to a big lake. The room where we were sitting had a vieuw on the lake, which was very nice.
One of the gentlemen who were attending told us a story about how he met my grandfather, he wasn't a relative, but grandfather lived and worked with his family during the world war 2 when the Germans came to our country. My grandfather had to hide from the Germans, and this gentlemen's family helped him out. It was a very interresting story, even my mother (it was her fathers birthday) never heard that story in so many details before.

For this party I wanted to wear Lolita, but I didn't want to freak anyone out there, so I decided to go for a more toned down Lolita inspired look.

I did my hair up, but it is not very visible in the pictures. I hope the party photographer (my niece :P) made a few pictures of me with the hair more visible. (I was actually quite proud of it XD)

The party was great, it was fun seeing and meeting all these people.

Dutch heat wave ^^

Just a random update because I am pretty bored.
Still two more days to go before I go to paris, but I am already free from my job. The weather here is very hot right now, it is great, but because of it, I just can't get into an sewing mood. I am now almost finished with a commission, the last one for now. I am also working on three blouses for the Mfashion shop, black, white and offwhite. But for some reason I just don't feel like sewing when it is this hot. So I think I will just go outside and read a book under the parasol or something XD

I got a new bag, it is realy cute, and big :> .

The owner of the shop where I work gave it to me as a present. All the other ladies that work there got a free necklace, but there was nothing that I liked, so the owner asked me if I liked anything else. I said I liked this bag, and I thought she would just give me an extra discount on it (it was pretty expensive)instead of a necklace. But she said I could have the bag for free!! It was very nice, and so unexpected to.

I bought this perfume some time ago.

The bottle is so cute, and the smell is great. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that when you spray it on, lots of glitter comes out with the perfume. That is a nice thing when you go out for the night, but I don't want to sparkle when I am at work XD

Day in Leiden

On friday 23th April I went to Leiden with Kim. It was fun *^__^* . We run into a TMF Camera crew (TMF is  Dutch music television) THey intervieuwed us, but the guy was so annoying, he kept calling us Heratjoekoe girls, even though I corrected him and told him we wore Lolita style clothing.
He also said the word FIERCE about 12 times during the short intervieuw, very annoying
