Today I went to the Japan market. It was very crowded, and I did not realy like it. But I went there with my friend, and we had a lot of fun. My Partner joined us for awhile, but he had to leave after an hour or so.

Tatting

Hello All!
Did anyone here ever heard of tatting? I never heard of it until a few months ago. I am looking for techniques to make lace, I already know crochet, and in searching for other techniques, I came across tatting. It's so beautiful, I like it a lot more then crochet.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatting Just take a look.
So, I started collecting some materials and books to start. I found a nice book with very clear instructions on how to start tatting. So I am practicing on it now. I do it everywhere, even on the train to work and during my lunch break ^__^
For tatting you need a tatting shuttle. Most of these shuttles that you can buy in a craft supply store are kind of ugly and boring. I started looking for a really cute one. On Etsy I came across a seller that sold very beautiful painted shuttles.http://www.etsy.com/people/emsyjaneShe has a collection with different designs, all are equally cute. I bought a pink one with roses.I love it so much, It is very easy to work with to. I  have a few other shuttles, but they are a lot bigger, and this one is small and smooth, I keep choosing this one to work with XD.
^__^ In my "learn how to tat" book there is a practicing pattern of a little butterfly. I like the pattern so much that I keep making butterflies. I made a lot already. Here I am working on a chain of butterflies ^__^
A few days ago, I visited Amsterdam, and found a craft shop there. Inside I found some shuttles, and I was really surprised because I couldn't find them in any other craft shop. So I got very enthusiastic about them, and the shop lady told me she had some books on tatting as well. She showed them to me, and I picked two of them. I am so going to visit this shop again to buy some more books.But for now, I only have these two ^^
Hmm well that's about it for now. I think I will continue on my butterfly chain now ^^

Helloooooo

Long time no see ^^I haven't been able to update recently because I moved and had to live without an internet connections for almost a month.I also went on a very fun 10 day trip to Ireland with my Boyfriend right before we moved to our new apartment (Yep we are living together now ^_____^ <3 )It has been a very hectic time, and it still is. We are still working on creating a nice place to live. It is awesome already, A beautiful 7 stores up three room apartment. You should see the sunsets from up here, our balcony is facing the north Sea where the sun sets over, its lovely. I have already set up a little sewing area for myself in the spare room which we call the green room (just because we painted the walls a minty green colour ^__^)
So now that I have an internet connection I hope I can get more active on this blog again. And also on my sales blog. I can't take any commissions yet, because I still have a small waiting list with costumers. 

A few weeks ago, I went to Castlefest, which is an anual Dutch Fantasy festival. It was great, I met up with some very good friends of mine.

Isn't he awesome!!!! He is a great and very skilled actor called Cela. He is sooo very sweet, and he always looks awesome on this kind of events. He actually really takes on the character of Charlie Chaplin!

Random update ^^

Hello there,
How are you all doing? Welcome to my new readers ^__^I haven't been around for a few weeks. So I thought it was time for a small update again.I don't have a whole lot to tell though, I am very busy with sewing and also with finding a new apartment to live in.I did get myself a cute new toy ^^I bought a Hello Kitty cell phone. It's a Samsung Star Hello Kitty version.The front The back, it didn't come with the roses, I put those on there myself.
Cute right? When I just got it, everything was in Hongarian, I don't know a single word in that language, but thank God for google translate^___^It is a great phone, very easy to use, it is a lot like my old phone, which was also a Samsung touchscreen.
With a new phone I also needed a new phone cover. I decided to sew my own Phonesock ^^I bought a very cute machine embroidery set some time ago, with cupcakes, so I thought it would be cute to use that set.

I am working on a summerdress for myself. I bought some adorable butterfly fabric some time ago, and I found some matching embroidery pattern, So I started this dress last week.It looks a bit weird here, because my dummy is bigger then I am, I am almost two sizes smaller than her, so the dress doesn't fit her at all XD.
I also bought this cute classical fabric yesterday I am not sure what to make with it yet, but I will just put it in my huge fabric stock ^^

Hello all ^^
Today was a very fun day. It was my birthday, I am 24 now. I felt old, until the lady at the jewelers shop treated me like I was 17 (she was very nice though).Today I decided to wear my 50's style cherry dress, it is a summer dress, but it was warm enough with a bolero.
 

I got some very nice gifts from my Boyfriend and familyI went to Gent in Belgium with Him this weekend, and he kept giving me presents ^^, that was so very sweeeet ^___^ He gave me loooooots of chocolates, which are almost all gone by now XDAnd also these two books:A comic book, very good book, beautiful art. And a travel guide to Japan, because we are planning to go there in 2013. I know that is a long time, but there are sooo many things we want to do.He also gave me this adorable card. I cut the message of, because that is private -__^
My parents gave me this beautiful Pandora charm bracelet 
My sister gave me this cute and funny cake set
And my brother and my sister boyfriend gave me new tires for my bike, I haven't used it in ages, but with the upcoming summer I wanted to use it again. But it needed new tires. 
In the afternoon my grandparents came to visit me ^^, it was nice to see them again, I don't see them often.
It was a great day today, even the weather was awesome ^___^

First day of Spring!!!! And 1 year blog anniversary ^^

Today is officially the first day of spring in my country. The weather outside is lovely, the sun is shining, it is still a little bit cold though, but I am sure it will get warmer soon.I hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine today!

I wish I could go outside, to the park or something, but I have to work :-(. Ow well, I did go to the beach yesterday, so I shouldn't complain.

Also, last Saturday was the 1st anniversary of this blog, yaaay, one year has past already, it went by so fast 0.0 I am so happy that all of you started following my blog. Thank you all ^^I hope I can do another year of blogging.
Next week is my birthday, I am gonna be 24 already. I know I shouldn't say this, but I feel kinda old XD. Aw well, Party time!!!!


New stuff!
I bought myself some new things.For the summer, this cute 50's style dress
I bought it at www.topvintage.nlThat site has a pretty big collection of 50's style clothing, not second hand, all new, also shoes and accessories, all for very decent prices. If you are interested in this style, you should take a look at their webshop. They did win the Dutch home shopping awards a few weeks ago to.The dress has a wonderful fit, but it is a tad to long, so I have to make the skirt a bit shorter. But besides that, it's perfect.

I also purchased this cute weekend-bag:Cute right ^^, It was on sale at the drug store.I will use it when I go on short trips. 
Last week I finished a vest for my Boyfriend. It was quite a project. The pockets for example are rather difficult to make, but I am very satisfied with the results
The fit was very nice for Him. And He looks very good in it hihi * --_^*

I am still working on my new site, later today I should have some more stuff up. Since I have some extra time tonight I am planning on uploading as much as I can.
I am also working on a new commission. 4 jaquets for a Salsa dance club. It is not a very difficult thing to do, but it will take some time. I hope to finish that at the beginning of April. Then I have a few more commissions, and after that, I will open up my service again, or finally sew something for myself XD.

I am looking forward to the summer so much, I can't wait for a little warmer weather. Even though we had some very nice weather for the past few days  but it is still very cold outside.I want to buy summer clothes, I already did buy an adorable 50's style dress. I am waiting for the package to arrive. They shipped it today, so it should come in tomorrow. Which means I will not be able to see it until Sunday because I will stay at my Boyfriends place for the rest of the week. (Offcourse I don't mind that teehee, the dress can wait XD )

Ready for summer now ^^

Hello, And welcome to my new readers!!
 I FINALLY bought myself a bikini. I have been looking at a certain bikini for a few years now, but I just found it to expensive. It was a sweet print bikini by Metamorphose that was sold in Mfashion shop (Lolita shop in my country). So I kept looking for something similar to that bikini, but I never found anything. When I visited the Mfashion website about two weeks ago, I saw that the bikini was on sale with 60% off, so I decided that if it was my size, I would buy it. It turned out that it was my size, and Mfashion is selling some clothing that I made, and the shop owner told me she just sold a dress, and she could keep the money for the dress and give me a huge discount. To me, that was great, I paid almost nothing for the bikini, and it doesn't really matter to me if I get the money for the sold dress or not. ( my sewing is just a hobby, I don't make a living out of it at all) So this summer I can finally go swimming ^__^



I also bought this beautiful fabric on Etsy. I want to use it to sew something for myself. I never sew anything for myself, but I love this fabric so much, that I don't want to make something out of it and then sell it. I wont have time to do anything with it for now, but when I am not so busy anymore, I will start on it. Off course I will post the results here ^^



The seller was very friendly, she even included a small personal handwritten note in the package. That is something I always really appreciate.

The big commission for a band called Tornado I have been working on is finally finished. I will post pictures of the outfits later. They are going to Finland now for photo shoots, and they will send me some of the pictures. I can't wait to see them ^^

Commission and some other stuff

This month I made a commission for someone. It was a skirt I made before. My costumer saw it at my booth during the last Gothic convention. I did not have it in her size, so I remade it for her.

I was so glad that I had some of this fabric left. I couldn't buy it from my suppliers anymore.



I got myself a new cellphone cover. I am way to busy *lazy* to Deco my cellphone myself, so I bought a sticker from this cute Etsy seller. Link:

Aaah I have absolutly no idea what to wear for Christmas, I couldn't find anything cute while shopping. I suppose I just have to figure something out with the clothes that I have -_-;;
