Happy Chinese New Year!!!!!

Like the title says, Happy Chinese New Year! Why? Well I didn't have the time to update my blog earlier and wish everyone a very happy 2012! And today is Chinese new year ^__^

Yesterday I finally did some sewing again. I am just a bit out of inspiration lately. I really have to push myself to sew something. It took me very long yesterday to decide what to sew. First i wanted to make a dress, then a petticoat, but i didn't have the right fabric. So in the end I settled for an apron, because I still did want to make one.So here it is ^^
I really like the strawberry embroidery patterns. I got them from an online seller. Its a very nice set called vintage strawberries ^^

Wicked, tatting and randomnes

Hello Guys ^___^
Pff I have been busy, I am going to stop saying that I will update here more often, because I can't keep that promise anyway XD, So I will update every now and then.
Last Sunday I went to see the Dutch version of Wicked. I saw it about three years ago in London. I loved it!I was a bit worried about the Dutch version, I was afraid they would make a very bad translation, but I was surprised. It was very good actually.Afterwards, my Boyfriend bought me a t-shirt ^__^ I love it, it's cute, the image is sewn onto the t-shirt which gives it a bit of a 3D look.

This was my outfit. I choose to wear a bit casual and warm Lolita outfit. The show was in Scheveningen, which is pretty much right next to the beach, and it was cold when we left the theater. I have also done some more tatting. I am still learning. I wanted to make something I could "use". I always just make doilies or try-out thingies. So I made a bracelet with beads. The original pattern is for a choker. But I can use a bracelet more often.

I am very happy with the result, though it's not perfect, I think I am getting better ^___^.

Teehee me and my Boyfriend at a gothic and fantasy event during the Halloween weekend ^__^

We are living together now, and we got our very first Christmas tree XD. I am soooo happy with it, but my christmas ornament collection is not so big yet, so the tree isn't very full. I still think it's cute though. I love the color combination, red and silver, it matches with the curtains ^^
Here is a view from the window of my apartment. They are building a garden in front of our flat. I saw the drawing of it, and I hope the garden will become as beautiful as the drawings. I can't wait for it to be finished ^^

Alright, that was it for now. Ow just one more thing, I want this fridge as a finishing touch (no really) for my house XD

Tatting

Hello All!
Did anyone here ever heard of tatting? I never heard of it until a few months ago. I am looking for techniques to make lace, I already know crochet, and in searching for other techniques, I came across tatting. It's so beautiful, I like it a lot more then crochet.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatting Just take a look.
So, I started collecting some materials and books to start. I found a nice book with very clear instructions on how to start tatting. So I am practicing on it now. I do it everywhere, even on the train to work and during my lunch break ^__^
For tatting you need a tatting shuttle. Most of these shuttles that you can buy in a craft supply store are kind of ugly and boring. I started looking for a really cute one. On Etsy I came across a seller that sold very beautiful painted shuttles.http://www.etsy.com/people/emsyjaneShe has a collection with different designs, all are equally cute. I bought a pink one with roses.I love it so much, It is very easy to work with to. I have a few other shuttles, but they are a lot bigger, and this one is small and smooth, I keep choosing this one to work with XD.
^__^ In my "learn how to tat" book there is a practicing pattern of a little butterfly. I like the pattern so much that I keep making butterflies. I made a lot already. Here I am working on a chain of butterflies ^__^
A few days ago, I visited Amsterdam, and found a craft shop there. Inside I found some shuttles, and I was really surprised because I couldn't find them in any other craft shop. So I got very enthusiastic about them, and the shop lady told me she had some books on tatting as well. She showed them to me, and I picked two of them. I am so going to visit this shop again to buy some more books.But for now, I only have these two ^^
Hmm well that's about it for now. I think I will continue on my butterfly chain now ^^

Long time no see ^^I haven't been able to update recently because I moved and had to live without an internet connections for almost a month.I also went on a very fun 10 day trip to Ireland with my Boyfriend right before we moved to our new apartment (Yep we are living together now ^_____^ <3 )It has been a very hectic time, and it still is. We are still working on creating a nice place to live. It is awesome already, A beautiful 7 stores up three room apartment. You should see the sunsets from up here, our balcony is facing the north Sea where the sun sets over, its lovely. I have already set up a little sewing area for myself in the spare room which we call the green room (just because we painted the walls a minty green colour ^__^)
So now that I have an internet connection I hope I can get more active on this blog again. And also on my sales blog. I can't take any commissions yet, because I still have a small waiting list with costumers.

A few weeks ago, I went to Castlefest, which is an anual Dutch Fantasy festival. It was great, I met up with some very good friends of mine.

Isn't he awesome!!!! He is a great and very skilled actor called Cela. He is sooo very sweet, and he always looks awesome on this kind of events. He actually really takes on the character of Charlie Chaplin!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen
I really really wish I could update my blog more often, but I often don't know what to write, or I am very busy. But every now and then I will update ^^.Today I want to show you all the result of the Butterfly JSK that I was working on a few weeks ago.I wore it at a party last week, it was a lot of fun. My Boyfriend took a picture of me before we went there.

Lol weird pose XD. I am quite pleased with the result of the JSK. I especially like the embroidery on the bodice, but that is because I am a major sucker for embroidery XD.I am wearing it with a bodyline blouse and very very old Baby the stars shine bright socks.
Well, that was all I had to say for now ^^.My next post will be more elaborate, I will show my newest Lolita purchases. I wish I could do it now, but they are all packed in a suitcase, and I didn't have time to take pictures of them yet.

Spring shopping and a fun day in Lolita, and a little ranting

Last week I went on a bit of an adventure with my Boyfriend and a friend of his. This friend is a member of an official licensed shooting club. He invited us for a introduction day. It was a lot of fun, though I still think shooting is scary. It was completely save though, and fun to try out some time. My BF took some pictures of me, since I was wearing Sweet Loli, it made a nice contrast with the rest of the place XD.I was doubting about posting pictures, because it could be intimidating for some, but I shopped the picture with a cutesy pink heart, so I think it should be okay. Remember that this picture was taken in a licensed club, under the supervision of professionals.

It was so much fun, haha, the owners of the club were very nice, and complimented me on my outfit.

I finally got to do some spring shopping last week.Here is the result, I still need to find some more cute skirts that I can wear at work though:

My car,
Yeah, I almost bought a new one, not second had, completely new. Why? Because the one I have now exploded two weeks ago. It was scary, I parked my car, turned it off, I wanted to call the garage, because the car's temperature was waaaay to high. After I turned it off, it just went BOOM. There was so much smoke coming from te front, and lots of water was flowing away from under my car.Luckily it looked more serious then it was. The garage could fix it, so I didn't need to buy a new one.But I am pretty pissed off at the people that sold this car to me last year. A month after I bought it, I went back to them, because I thought the temperature was getting to high, they told me back then that it was all okay. As long as the temperature didn't go into the red zone, it was fine.The ANWB (dutch emergency service) told me that what those guys told me was utter bullshit, and they should have fixed it back then. It would have saved me about 300 Euro, Grrrrrr. But I can't do anything about it now unfortunately. I am glad I got my car back though, and that the problem is fixed. I hope I can drive it safely for a few years now.
Okaaay that would be enough ranting XD.

Hello there,
How are you all doing? Welcome to my new readers ^__^I haven't been around for a few weeks. So I thought it was time for a small update again.I don't have a whole lot to tell though, I am very busy with sewing and also with finding a new apartment to live in.I did get myself a cute new toy ^^I bought a Hello Kitty cell phone. It's a Samsung Star Hello Kitty version.The front The back, it didn't come with the roses, I put those on there myself.
Cute right? When I just got it, everything was in Hongarian, I don't know a single word in that language, but thank God for google translate^___^It is a great phone, very easy to use, it is a lot like my old phone, which was also a Samsung touchscreen.
With a new phone I also needed a new phone cover. I decided to sew my own Phonesock ^^I bought a very cute machine embroidery set some time ago, with cupcakes, so I thought it would be cute to use that set.

I am working on a summerdress for myself. I bought some adorable butterfly fabric some time ago, and I found some matching embroidery pattern, So I started this dress last week.It looks a bit weird here, because my dummy is bigger then I am, I am almost two sizes smaller than her, so the dress doesn't fit her at all XD.
I also bought this cute classical fabric yesterday I am not sure what to make with it yet, but I will just put it in my huge fabric stock ^^

Hello all ^^
Today was a very fun day. It was my birthday, I am 24 now. I felt old, until the lady at the jewelers shop treated me like I was 17 (she was very nice though).Today I decided to wear my 50's style cherry dress, it is a summer dress, but it was warm enough with a bolero.

I got some very nice gifts from my Boyfriend and familyI went to Gent in Belgium with Him this weekend, and he kept giving me presents ^^, that was so very sweeeet ^___^ He gave me loooooots of chocolates, which are almost all gone by now XDAnd also these two books:A comic book, very good book, beautiful art. And a travel guide to Japan, because we are planning to go there in 2013. I know that is a long time, but there are sooo many things we want to do.He also gave me this adorable card. I cut the message of, because that is private -__^
My parents gave me this beautiful Pandora charm bracelet
My sister gave me this cute and funny cake set
And my brother and my sister boyfriend gave me new tires for my bike, I haven't used it in ages, but with the upcoming summer I wanted to use it again. But it needed new tires.
In the afternoon my grandparents came to visit me ^^, it was nice to see them again, I don't see them often.
It was a great day today, even the weather was awesome ^___^

Today is officially the first day of spring in my country. The weather outside is lovely, the sun is shining, it is still a little bit cold though, but I am sure it will get warmer soon.I hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine today!

I wish I could go outside, to the park or something, but I have to work :-(. Ow well, I did go to the beach yesterday, so I shouldn't complain.

Also, last Saturday was the 1st anniversary of this blog, yaaay, one year has past already, it went by so fast 0.0 I am so happy that all of you started following my blog. Thank you all ^^I hope I can do another year of blogging.
Next week is my birthday, I am gonna be 24 already. I know I shouldn't say this, but I feel kinda old XD. Aw well, Party time!!!!

I bought myself some new things.For the summer, this cute 50's style dress
I bought it at www.topvintage.nlThat site has a pretty big collection of 50's style clothing, not second hand, all new, also shoes and accessories, all for very decent prices. If you are interested in this style, you should take a look at their webshop. They did win the Dutch home shopping awards a few weeks ago to.The dress has a wonderful fit, but it is a tad to long, so I have to make the skirt a bit shorter. But besides that, it's perfect.

I also purchased this cute weekend-bag:Cute right ^^, It was on sale at the drug store.I will use it when I go on short trips.
Last week I finished a vest for my Boyfriend. It was quite a project. The pockets for example are rather difficult to make, but I am very satisfied with the results
The fit was very nice for Him. And He looks very good in it hihi * --_^*

I am still working on my new site, later today I should have some more stuff up. Since I have some extra time tonight I am planning on uploading as much as I can.
I am also working on a new commission. 4 jaquets for a Salsa dance club. It is not a very difficult thing to do, but it will take some time. I hope to finish that at the beginning of April. Then I have a few more commissions, and after that, I will open up my service again, or finally sew something for myself XD.

I am looking forward to the summer so much, I can't wait for a little warmer weather. Even though we had some very nice weather for the past few days but it is still very cold outside.I want to buy summer clothes, I already did buy an adorable 50's style dress. I am waiting for the package to arrive. They shipped it today, so it should come in tomorrow. Which means I will not be able to see it until Sunday because I will stay at my Boyfriends place for the rest of the week. (Offcourse I don't mind that teehee, the dress can wait XD )

Hello, And welcome to my new readers!!
I FINALLY bought myself a bikini. I have been looking at a certain bikini for a few years now, but I just found it to expensive. It was a sweet print bikini by Metamorphose that was sold in Mfashion shop (Lolita shop in my country). So I kept looking for something similar to that bikini, but I never found anything. When I visited the Mfashion website about two weeks ago, I saw that the bikini was on sale with 60% off, so I decided that if it was my size, I would buy it. It turned out that it was my size, and Mfashion is selling some clothing that I made, and the shop owner told me she just sold a dress, and she could keep the money for the dress and give me a huge discount. To me, that was great, I paid almost nothing for the bikini, and it doesn't really matter to me if I get the money for the sold dress or not. ( my sewing is just a hobby, I don't make a living out of it at all) So this summer I can finally go swimming ^__^

I also bought this beautiful fabric on Etsy. I want to use it to sew something for myself. I never sew anything for myself, but I love this fabric so much, that I don't want to make something out of it and then sell it. I wont have time to do anything with it for now, but when I am not so busy anymore, I will start on it. Off course I will post the results here ^^

The seller was very friendly, she even included a small personal handwritten note in the package. That is something I always really appreciate.

Valentines day

Good morning Ladies and Gentleman,

As you all know, it is Valentine's day today. I didn't really plan to even think about it at all. Even though I have a wonderful Boyfriend now, I never really cared about Valentine's day, and thought I still didn't care. But, yesterday, before I left from His place, He told me to look at something, and I heard the door of my car slam close. I was wondering what He did inside my car, but He didn't tell and said I would find out soon.
When I got home, I looked for something in my bag, and, wow, I found my very first Valentine's card ever!!I never though I could be sooo very happy about a piece of thick paper. It is a very cute card to, see:

He wrote a very sweet message on it to ^___^ . It's simply the best card I ever received ^^ .

This is the first time I am celebrating Valentine's day, the card is hanging on my wall right in front of me, and I can't stop looking at it. Now I just hope He will like the little E-card I have send Him ass well ^^.

Hello Guys!!

I have been totally neglecting my blog lately. I am preparing to make a pretty huge post about my trip with my Boyfriend to Spain. I went there for a week at the end of January.

I have also been very busy with sewing again. I am working on a pretty big project for a band. It's a pretty new band called Tornado, and they commissioned two stage outfits from me. Not Lolita, not at all even hihi, The outfits are kind of 80's glamrock band inspired. It is quit a challenge to sew this, the fabrics are very difficult to work with, but they are coming along nicely.

Hmm that was a short update, but since it is late at night, I will leave it at this.

Hello All!

Happy new Year to all my readers ^^, I hope all of you had some great time during the holidays, I know I had ~_^ . I have spend my Christmas with my Boyfriend and mine and His family.
I wore a rather old school black X white Lolita outfit on the 1st day of Christmas.

I am wearing one of my favorite dresses, it's a old one from Metamorphose but I have no idea what the name is.

I am also wearing a Bodyline blouse and shoes, Some Baby the Stars Shine Bright socks and the belt is from H&M. I had to wear the belt with this outfit, because the waist is to big for me, and I lost the waist ties.

I also had a really fun New years Eve. I went to my Boyfriends place again, and we spend the night at a friends place.
In the afternoon we had to get some things from the supermarket, in there I spotted a Lolita. She was soooo cute. I saw her walking by, and I looked at her for a bit, when she was out of sight, I pulled my Boyfriends sleeve and said "Loooook there is another Lolita!!!!"
So he dragged me through the store in search for her, we found her, and I asked her if she was going for the Lolita look. She said she was, and I think she was a little nervous.
I really loved her skirt, and asked her where she got it. She was really nice and told me that she found it at a vintage shop.
Wow, I mean, a Dutch vintage shop, I can never find anything even remotely cute at a Dutch vintage shop. And this cute girl, found one of the prettiest skirts ever!!
I had to go after that, I still wonder who the girl was, I never saw her before at a meeting or something.
Well anyway, the night was fun, and we saw some very pretty fireworks. Because of my encounter with the other Loli-girl, I felt very happy the whole night for some reason. ^__^

Commission and some other stuff

This month I made a commission for someone. It was a skirt I made before. My costumer saw it at my booth during the last Gothic convention. I did not have it in her size, so I remade it for her.

I was so glad that I had some of this fabric left. I couldn't buy it from my suppliers anymore.

I got myself a new cellphone cover. I am way to busy *lazy* to Deco my cellphone myself, so I bought a sticker from this cute Etsy seller. Link:

Radioshow on Lolita

Hello there,

Last friday I participated in a radioshow about Lolita. It was just a short 10 minute interview on Radio 3FM. The DJ was Giel Beelen. He was very nice, and asked pretty good questions, but also very "direct" questions. Aniway, it was a lot of fun to do, I also enjoyed dressing up for the show. My Boyfriend took some pictures ( a lot actually ^^) I will put them on here later. He also came with me to the studio, and the DJ asked Him some questions to.
The show was late at night, and it was broadcasted on a tv-station.

International Loli Day

Hello,

Did everyone had a great International Loli Day last saturday? I know I had!
Even though it was a litle bit different then I had planned. I had to work during the day, so my outfit had to be work-apropriate. I wore a completly black coördinate, quite simple, but I still like it.

This picture was taken in the basement at my job. I forgot to take a picture at home, so I kind of sneaked downstairs to take this pic XD.

At night I would go to a party with my Boyfriend, but the weather had been very bad the whole day, there was so much snow and it was very slippery outside. We decided not to go out, because it was to dangerous to drive.
So I stayed at His place. And He gave me a realy cute present: adorable white fluffy slippers/ boots (No idea how to call them in English -_-;; )

Aren't they just adorable ^____^

Later that night we went outside to built a huge snow man, that was fun, and cold XD.

So my Loli day was great! Even though I didn't realy dress up or anything.
But this friday I will be able to dress up. I have been invited to come to aan radioshow and tell something about Lolita and about the clothes that I make. The show is late at night, between 1 and 2 o'clock. There will also be a live broadcast on tv, and it will be online later. The radion station is called 3FM. It is a pretty well known radiostation I think ^^

Mary Poppins and some shopping

Hello there,

To start this post, I want to say HI! to my newest readers. I hope you will enjoy my blog, I will try to update as much as I can ^^.

Now on to the actual post: Last wednesday I went to see the Mary Poppins musical together with my best friend. It is such an awesome musical, I had a great time. The costumes are great, also great songs. I have always liked the story of Mary Poppins, so I was very excited when I heard about a musical production of it.
I met with my friend in Scheveningen and we went to get some diner first. Then we went to the theater. We had the best places, on the very first row in the middle.
This picture kind of indicates how close we were to the stage:

We took one picture together, we tried to take one in the restroom mirror, but it didn't work out very well -_-;; , so a nice lady offered to take our picture. This is the result, and yes, I do look kind of stoned XD But I still do like the picture ^^

Aaaaand here is one that I took when I got home. Here you can see what I was wearing. I couldn't wear something very spectacular, because I had to work first and didn't have time to change.

SHOPPING

Today I did some shopping. It was so much fun, walking through the snow.
I bought a new dress / top, I needed something new for a diner party I have to go to next week. My boss organised it, it will be an theater diner, and I go there with all my co-workers, It will be fun ^^

It's so cute ^^, It is from Jane Norman. I realy like that label, their clothes are cute and fun, but not "difficult" to wear. They had lots of very cute dresses and skirts in the shop today.

I can't do much with it, but I will wear a very Classic Loli-inspired outfit to my work tomorow, and at night I go to a party, and I will wear a Sweet Lolita outfit. To all Lolita's out there, Have fun tomorow with what ever you are going to do!!

First snow of the winter, and some good old times

Today the very first snow of this year fell down. It looks so beautifull outside now. It is a cold white winter wonderland

That is the view on my backyard from my bedroom window. As you can see, some snow is still falling down.

Yes the snow is beautifull, but also very scary, I had to drive home through it, and the highway was covered in snow, so that was pretty dangerous.I just kind of hope that this winter will not be as bad as last years winter. It was sooo very cold then

Now for good old times:
Someone sended this picture to me. It is a picture of myself at some festival about 5 or 6 years ago.

I looked so different back then, with shorter black hair with pink extension (not very visible but they are there XD ) And I have such an extremely white face here, I used to use a lot of white face powder hehe XD.
You can see my best friend behind me with her awesome pink furry handcuffs in her hair ^^ She still is my best friend right now, though our styles both changed so much through the past few years. I can't wait to see her again this week when we go see the Mary poppins musical in Scheveningen ^___^

I am sorry about neglecting my blog for some time! Welcome to my new readers ^^
I have been so very busy with sewing, work and lots of other fun things. I had to sew a lot for an event where I had a booth. The event was sooo much fun. There were so many wonderfull and beautifull people there.
I sold some pieces of clothing, which is always a great feeling. My friend Kimmy helped me in the booth, and she made a lovely little video of it. Please take a look, it is a tour through my booth, please enjoy

Today I found some funny template somewhere on the internet. There are 4 plain "dolls" with an age under each of them, age 10, 13, 16 and current self. And you are supposed to draw your clothing style for every age.
So I did it for fun, and here is the result XD

These realy were my styles when I was young, I actually still like the style I had when I was sixteen. I used to braid long black and pink curly hairextension into my own hair. It took me six hours to braid and hurted like hell, but it looked awesome ^^.
But I really love the Lolita style I wear a lot now.

Small event in Amsterdam

Today I went to Amsterdam with some friends. My best friend had a booth at this event, and the rest of us were there to help her out. The event kind of sucked, the music was really bad, and the organisation was pathetic. But we had a lot of fun with each other.
Here are some pics of what I was wearing that day. A few more will be added later, but they are on my friends camera.

I am wearing a Alice and the Pirates dress and socks, a BodyLine blouse, shoes and the rose in my hair is also from BL, but I added the pearls to it, because it was boring on its own.
I am also wearing a halfwig that I bought on Ebay.

My friend was selling some weird looking fake plastic whips 0.o, I picked one up, and my other friend told me to pose with it for fun and took some pics of me XD
And offcourse, there is icecream, yaay I had some chocolate/Vanilla icecream. I love that stuff, Icecream is one of the best things ever invented XD

It was such a fun day today ^^ and I was sooo happy that I could wear full Lolita again, I had not been able to wear it for a few weeks, because of work, and because I didn't go to any events.
From now on, I will have to sew a lot, at the end of October, during the Halloween weekend, I have a booth at a Gothic and Fantasy event, and I hope I can sell some handmade Loli stuff there.

Some sunday sewing and new Boots!!

Today I had to do some sewing, and I finished a offwhite classic Lolita blouse. I also started on a classic Lolita skirt, I will post pictures off it when it is finished.
This is the blouse, it is a pretty simple design, not to much lace and ruffles.

For some reason I have been really cold the past few days, even though it is summer in my country. It isn't very warm outside, but it's ridiculous that I am this cold. I sleep with extra blankets and big fat fuzzy wintersocks :S
Anyway, this is what I wore today. A warm knit top, skirt, thighs and another pair of fuzzy warm winter socks ( I love this type of socks XD)

Hmm I wonder why the color of my sweater changed so much in the picture, it is pretty much the same color as my skirt IRL :\

BOOTS!!
I got some awesome boots for this winter!! They are perfect for a winter Lolita coördinate, but also to just wear with a pair of skinny jeans or a legging.
So these are me new babies, adorable aren't they *^___^*

A few months ago, I went to a park together with a friend, to take some pictures and have a little picknick. We ended up not making a lot of pictures at all. We did make a tiny photostory though:

Summer Darkness and other things

This weekend there was another event in my country, this time in Utrecht. Summer Darkness. It started on Friday and ended on Sunday. I only went there on Sunday to participate in the Lolita fashion show. I could not stay longer either because I was invited to my friends birthday party.
The show was fun, and everybody looked gorgeous! There were so many people watching the show, it was almost scary, but not as scary as an unexpected show I did a few years ago on a very busy festival. That was fun to, but completely unplanned and unprepared. And we had only two models, me and my best friend ^^. So the show this Sunday was a lot easier then that.

You can see my hair in this shot. I always said that I wouldn't buy a wig. But I decided a while ago to buy a half wig after all, because I really like curls, but my own hair is impossible to curl, every time I try it, it dies within an hour. This half wig is great, the quality is awesome, and it saves sooo much time O.o .

Birthdays and crafts

As I already said, I had to go to a birthday party after the fashion show. The gift I bought for her was packed in a very boring white box. So I wanted it to look nicer. Then I remembered that I still had a book on ribbon work and a lot of ribbons lying around. I never tried it before, so I gave it a shot.
This is the result after I put it on the gift.

I kinda liked it, for a first try XD

On saturday I had another birthday, and I made some other flowers that I couldn't use on the first gift, so I used them on the gift for my other friend.

It is a lot of fun to do, and I am going to practice it some more when I have more extra time to spare.

Catsle Fest 2010

Sunday August 8,
I went to Castle Fest today. Castle Fest is a Dutch annual fantasy event in the gardens of Castle de Keukenhof. In my opinion, this is one of the best outdoor fantasy festivals in my country. I try to attend it every year, however, the past few years I went there to help out my best friend selling her goods in her booth, but she didn't get a booth this year, so we went there as real visitors. That was a pretty strange but wonderfull experience.
I was there together with my best friend Deborah and with Pim, another friend of us. And when we were at the festival we met this really nice guy who was dressed as a vampire. Pim knew him, and he was there alone, so we asked him to join us for the day, and he did. His name was Cela.

This was our group, except for the girl in the middle, she wanted to be in a picture with us ^^ So from left to right: Deborah, Cela, middle girl, Pim and me.

Yaay, our Fit's dance video made it to the next round. Now we had to make a new video. We did that yesterday in the Mfashion shop. Well, we planned to do it inside the shop, but it was a little to small for all of us, so we took everything outside, and made the video there.
It is already up online, and once again, we need the most views to win. So please watch it ^^ It is very funny!

It was a lot of fun to do again, we made so many bloopers XD. I also really screwed up again, I am not a very talented dancer :P
I hope we win this contest!! But it is already great that we made it to the second round.

My grandfathers party

Last night I celebrated my grandfathers 90th birthday. We had a big family party. There were lots of relatives, and I didn't really know any of them XD. Most of them were already rather old to. It was fun though. Most of them seemed to know who I was, they have seen me when I was little, and my grandmother told them about my sewing hobby.The old ladies were very interrested in that ^^.
We had a nice diner in a beautifull restaurant. It was in the middle of a park right next to a big lake. The room where we were sitting had a vieuw on the lake, which was very nice.
One of the gentlemen who were attending told us a story about how he met my grandfather, he wasn't a relative, but grandfather lived and worked with his family during the world war 2 when the Germans came to our country. My grandfather had to hide from the Germans, and this gentlemen's family helped him out. It was a very interresting story, even my mother (it was her fathers birthday) never heard that story in so many details before.

For this party I wanted to wear Lolita, but I didn't want to freak anyone out there, so I decided to go for a more toned down Lolita inspired look.

Yes! I got a new car. And I am so happy about it, you can't even imagine XD.
It is a dark green Opel Corsa Swing, 14 years old but in great condition.
When I saw it at the car shop for the first time, I already imagined it having pink flowers all over it. So I purchased a whole bunch of pink flower vinyl decal stickers and a pink Tinkerbell.
I picked my car up yesterday and today I pimped it.

About cars, dolls and dances

My car.
Unfortunatly, my cute little car died after all. I hoped that it was something that could be easily repaired, but the garage told me that it was better to buy a new one. It still drives, but it can't go faster then 40 km/H.

I am looking for a new car now, I already saw a few, and made a test drive in one, but that didn't go so well. Tomorow night I have a test drive in an Opel Corsa. It is quite a pretty car, dark green color, and looks very good. I am already planning to put hot pink flower shaped stickers all over it if I buy it.

Lolita Doll Meet
Last sunday I went to a doll/ Lolita meet. It was fun ^^ There were 10 Lolita girls, and 2 guys (they came with 2 of the girls) We met with a few at the Rotterdam central station, and walked to a small nearby park.
There we met the rest of the girls. We had a picknick. My sister made muffins which I decorated, but they didn't turn out very pretty. They tasted great though *-_^*
After the picknick 4 of us made a dance for a internet youtube contest. I particapated in the dance as well, it was so crazy, the dance was pretty embarrassing ^_^;; but we had so much fun while practising ^^

This was my outfit, it was pretty warm, so I didn't dress up to much. I am wearing a Angelic pretty skirt, SS socks, BL shoes, a H&M bolero and a t-shirt that I bought ages ago and I can't remember where XD. In this picture we where practising the dance.

These are the two dolls that I brought with me. The big boy is Nathaniël, an Elfdoll Red. And the tiny one is Mindy, she is a Fairyland Puki Pipi.

Around 4 o'clock we went to one girls house to sit in her garden for awhile. I was picked up there by my parents.
That night I eat some delicious Chinese food. I love Chinese, and this diner made me forget all about the Paris Chinese diner disaster.

Nooo!!

Ack my car died today T__T I hope the garage can fix it, but I am afraid I might have to buy a new car.
I really need a car to get to work, I can use public transport, but it takes an hour to get to my job by bus, and only about 20 minutes by car. So I already know I have to take the bus monday and tuesday, and I hope that I can pick my car up on wednesday. Or that I can pick up a new car on friday.
It is to bad if I have to buy a new one, I really love this car.

Please help sending positive vibes to my baby XD
If it can't be fixed I will miss my friends birthday party T_T

Tomorow I attend a Lolita / doll meet. I have a few BJD'S. I take my SD boy, and maybe a Puki. I asked my sister to bake some muffins (I can't bake at all, and I didn't have the time for it, because of my job today) I decorated them myself. I will take a picture of them tomorow when they are dry.
So I am looking forward to it, even though I have to take the train over there -_-;;
We will also make a video with a dance for a youtube contest or something, so that will be a lot of fun ^_^

Trip to Paris

Last week I visited paris for 5 days together with my friend Kim.
I am going to try to write a short report of those five days. Evereyday is a new entry.
Let's see, Day one June 30. This was the first day and we left from Rotterdam station at 11 oclock in the morning. We arrived in Paris around 2.30 in the afternoon. Which was an hour later then planned due to some delay.
We went to our hotel, and got settled in a bit. Then we went to the Baby the Stars Shine Bright shop. But first we stopped by the new Angelic Pretty shop. That shop wasn't very interresting and we left after a few minutes, hoping that it woud be more interresting on saturday, when the official opening was scheduled.
We shopped at the Baby shop for a while, it was SOOOO hot, I didn't feel like trying anything on because of the heat in that tiny shop. I did buy a few things though.

We stayed at Hotel the Bordeaux, which is near the train station where the Thalys arrived. It was an old hotel, but it was okay, and the staff was very nice to.

Paris Day 2 July 1st

Second day of our trip. Today we did a cliché sightseeing tour. At first we went to see the Louvre. We saw the Mona Lisa, which is not all that impressive in real life :P But it was fun to see it once. We stayed there for a while, looking around, there was so much to see there.

After the Louvre we had some lunch first, and after that we started looking for a touring boat called the BatoBus where you can buy a ticket and then you can hop on and hop off the boat as much as you want through the day. And it stops at all the hotspots at the Seine.
We couldn't find it at first and ended up walking all the way to Place de la Concorde, and finaly found the boat at the Grand Palais.
We got off the boat when we got to the Notre Dame. It is such a beautifull church, it was quite impressive to see it in real life. We went inside to, it was so beautifull in there. Offcourse we could't take any pictures inside, but I took a lot of the outside ^^

After the Notre Dame we went back on the boat, and got off at the Eiffel Tower. I didn't really like that building, it was so dark and boring, and it just seemed sad. But they sold some delicious Lemon icecream there.
We sat under the Eiffel Tower for a while, there was a lot of shade and it was o warm again, that we could use some shade and some rest because we had been walking for hours already.

After the Eiffel tower, we took the boat to ST-Germains des Prés, and after looking around there for a bit, we decided to take the Metro back to our hotel

We had a nice little MC Donalds diner and a lovely KitKat MCFlurry. After that we went to the hotel, and played some card games again.

Paris Day 3 July 2nd

Today we went to Versailles. I have wanted to visit that place for years now, and it was great. It was also very very warm most of the day. But we had some rain and thunder at the end of the day (they were very welcome at that point)
We too the train to Versailles, and when we got there we stood in line for the tickets forquite some time. But it turned out we could go inside for free and didn't need to wait at all -_-;; Well good thing that we didn't have to pay though.
The outside of the palace was very impressive, so much gold and such a beautifull building.

That is what we saw when we approached the building. Beautifull, don't you think?
We visited all the chambers, there was so much to see. And every room was so gorgeous, the paintings, the decorations, the ceilings... well just visit it sometime, you"ll see what I mean *-_^*

After a nice lunch we visited the gardens. Unfortunatly, all the fountains were turned off, so we couldn't see the water spectacles that they advertised everywhere :(. But the gardens were still beautifull even without te fountains.

In the gardens next to a statue. I really wanted to wear Lolita that day, but, yeah it was simply to hot again, so I wore an AP skirt and an Baby tank top as a regular summer outfit.

We got some troubles on the way back. It appeared that for some reason there were no trains going back to Paris from the station near Versailles Chateau. And we had to walk to the next train station, which was about a 20 minutes walk(luckily we were not the only ones that had to go there, so we could follow the crowd) but, it started raining very hard, and there was a lot of wind and some thunder.
But we made it back to our hotel, and it cooled down a lot outside, which was very nice.
Also, the Dutch Soccer team won the match that afternoon, so Yaaay Holland!!!

Some goodies I bought in Versailles

That night we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for diner. I love that place. Kim and I both bought a little stuffed Bear. She got one with a hotpink mohawk and I got one with a Lavender blue mohawk to match my car.

We had a great diner and some lovely cocktails, and we could keep the cocktail glasses.
After that we went back to the hotel where we spend some time outside on our tiny balcony.

Paris Day 4 July 3th

This day started with some heavy rain and a thunderstorm.
We planned to go shopping on this day. At first we had to buy some umbrella's.

Afer that we went to the Angelic Pretty shop to see if it was better this time. Unfortunatly, it didn't seem any better then last time we visited. The outside of the shop was a horrible red/brown color. They painted a ribbon and Angelic Pretty on the windows, and there was a beautifull dress displayed in the shop window. But inside the shop, there were only a few more dresses, and a whole lot of, well other clothes. I don't really know what style, but certainly not Lolita. So that was very dissapointing.

But then we went to the Baby shop again. During our last visit we heard that they would get some new stock in on friday, and Kim still needed a pair of socks. It was very crowded inside the shop and we had to wait outside for some time. When we were able to go insiode, I bought a beautifulle new skirt and a pair of socks. When I went to pay for my items, the nice man said I could choose between a normal pink Baby bag, or a black AATP bag. I choose the AATP bag, because I already have a few pink ones.

That is the skirt I bought. I love it!!

After that we went shopping at some other stores. I bought a cute black jacket at the H&M. It is perfect for my job. I also bough a top with a Chesire Cat print on it and a necklace.

Then we had diner at a Chinese restaurant. Chinese is just about my favourite food, I always love Chinese restaurants, but this one was disgusting. Not one of the dishes tasted good, Kim even got a bit sick from it. The only thing that tasted nice were the cucumber slices, but no body can mess up cucumber slices -_-;;.

After that little disaster, we went on a Paris by Night tour. That was beautifull. We went on a bus, and sat on the open top deck. It was a little chilly, but it was okay.
We visited all the hotspots again. And tis time the Eiffel tower was pretty to. it had so many lights, and when the bus stopped in front of it, a lot of lights started flickering, like stars. That was beautifull, but without it, the Eiffel tower is still a boring old piece of metal -_^

Paris day 5 July 4th

Last day in Paris :'( It all went by so fast.
We still had a big part of the day to spend in Paris.
First we went to see the Moulin Rouge, Kim really wanted to see that. It was nice to see it sometime in real life. The mill o top of the building is so cute ^^

After that we went to Jardin des Plantes. We walked through the gardens for awhile and visited the tropical green houses.
After that we went to the zoo XD.
After the zoo we visited the skelleton and fossils museum. That was.. interresting. But some things were very scary, like a little kitten in a jar with all his organs pulled out. Yeah that was gross.

But after that, we went back to the hotal, picked up our luggage and went back to the station.
We got back on Rotterdam without any problems.
And that was the end of out trip to Paris. Hehe sorry if I caused a flood on a nyones reader list -_^

Dutch heat wave ^^

Just a random update because I am pretty bored.
Still two more days to go before I go to paris, but I am already free from my job. The weather here is very hot right now, it is great, but because of it, I just can't get into an sewing mood. I am now almost finished with a commission, the last one for now. I am also working on three blouses for the Mfashion shop, black, white and offwhite. But for some reason I just don't feel like sewing when it is this hot. So I think I will just go outside and read a book under the parasol or something XD

I got a new bag, it is realy cute, and big :> .

The owner of the shop where I work gave it to me as a present. All the other ladies that work there got a free necklace, but there was nothing that I liked, so the owner asked me if I liked anything else. I said I liked this bag, and I thought she would just give me an extra discount on it (it was pretty expensive)instead of a necklace. But she said I could have the bag for free!! It was very nice, and so unexpected to.

I bought this perfume some time ago.

The bottle is so cute, and the smell is great. The only thing that I don't like about it, is that when you spray it on, lots of glitter comes out with the perfume. That is a nice thing when you go out for the night, but I don't want to sparkle when I am at work XD

Another Scrapblog and other stuff

I really love this site, I am not very good at scrapbooking yet (not at all XD) But it is just a fun thing to do when I am bored.
This time I made a scrapblog with pictures from my older handmade Lolita collections. I tried to make a different theme for each page (gothic, classic sweet etc)

Paris
Just one more week, and then I start packing my suitcase and go on a five day shopping/ sightseeing trip to Paris. I leave on Wednesday, but I start packing somewhere on tuesday night.
I visit Paris for the second time, this time together with my friend Kim. We already planned out the whole trip. WE leave wednesday morning with the Thalys train, and when we arrive we go to the Baby shop and to the AP shop. (We are not sure yet what to expect of the AP shop, because the real opening is a few days later, but we might go to the opening party, if we have enough time)
We stay in a very simple old hotel, but it is a good hotel, Kim's relatives have been to the same hotel last May, and they realy enjoyed their stay there.
Besides spending this months paycheck on Lolita, we will also go on sightseeing trips. There is one day planned to Versailles, also a day where we will visit all those must-see places of Paris (very cliché, but a lot of fun XD )
I wish I could make daily updates here with pictures and everything about the trip, but I don't have an internet connection there, and even if I had, my laptop is old and slow, and photoshop doesn't work on it.
But when I return I will write a full report with pictures here.

Commissions
I have been working on a few commissions again.
This one is finished and received by the buyer

It is a replica fof a F+F skirt, but I am not sure if it was done by another brand as well.

And I am working on this one

But it is not at all finished yet, because I have to edit a few things about it.

Poor thing was attacked by seaghouls this morning, he was so scared. I heard all this noise early in the morning ouside my bedroom window, and I saw my cat pressed against the wall, and these stupid birds flying around him. I scared them away, and let my cat inside the house. (he always spends the nights outside)He was a little scared still, whit a big fat angry cat tail, but he calmed down as soon as he got his breakfast XD

Fantasy fair scrapbook

This site is awesome, you can make scrapbook pages using your own pictures. There also loads of free designs, backgrounds, stickers etc. (also designs that you have to pay for, but a lot is free ^^)
I am to lazy to make a real scrapbook, and I just don't have any room to store it, so this is a very good alternative.

Fantasy Fair 2010 at Kasteel de Haar 25th April

Today was the Fantasy Fair. This is a anual Dutch fantasy event.
At first I didn't plan to go, but last night around 5.30 I decided I should go because the weather would be so nice.
So I called Kim and asked her if I could tag along with her and her friend.
It was so awesome, the weather was great, nice and warm but not to sunny.

Night at The Koornbeurs in Delft on 24th April

Maelstorm performed last night in the Koornbeurs in Delft, because a friend of mine is the drummer in that band, I went there to be his groupie XD.
The music was very loud, and my ears ar still kind of ringing, but It was fun ^^

Day in Leiden

On friday 23th April I went to Leiden with Kim. It was fun *^__^* . We run into a TMF Camera crew (TMF is Dutch music television) THey intervieuwed us, but the guy was so annoying, he kept calling us Heratjoekoe girls, even though I corrected him and told him we wore Lolita style clothing.
He also said the word FIERCE about 12 times during the short intervieuw, very annoying

And this was a Keychain, but I bought it to change it into a necklace. It is so cute, there is a little pearl in the middle of the crown to ^_^

I am working on a sailor outfit for a Lolita meeting with a sailor/pirate theme ^^
I will make a white dress with a sailor collar, and I will place some embroidery on the back of the collar.
This is the embroidery, it needs some more ironing and polishing, but I already quite like the results so far.

Two weeks ago was my birthday, it was fun, I am already 23 now *feels old* :P
I got really great gifts, my friends pretty much all gave me Hello Kitty stuff XD, except Linda, she gave me a major eraser, its HUGE, and a cute wobblehead Koala. I placed it in my car, its so cute.
My parents, brother and sister gave me kitchen set for when I get my own house. There are pans, pots, knives, well pretty much anything you need to cook *^__^*

New dress and nails

I had my nails done last wednesday, because I celebrate my birthday this weekend (ack turning 23 already -_-) I decided to take some extra sparkles.
The tips are white with lots of silver sparkles, and every nail has two rhine stones and a diamond coloured chip.

I wore one of my new dresses to work yesterday, I was a litle nervous about it, because at my home, only my mother liked the dress, my dad, brother and sister didn't like it at all, my brother even called it a curtain T__T
But at my work all my coworkers loved it, and even some of the costumers complimented my dress.

It's monday again.

Sunday was a really nice spring day with lots of sunshine. I went to The Hague with my mom to a fabric market, after we browsed the market for a bit, we went shopping in the Hague.

On friday I went shopping in my own town, and I bought two dresses, skinny jeans and a tregging.

Fun times with Linda at the Alice in Wonderland premierre

On the 5 th of March, I went to a Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland Premierre party.
Before the show there was a tea party, and I found out only the night before that everybody had to come dressed up as a character. Imagine how stressfull that was, I had no outfit and no time to sew anything.
So I simply threw together some items from my wardrobe and called it Mad hatter goes Lolita.
